Questions HVAC and plumbing owners ask us.
Plain answers about what a growth partner does, why AEO comes first, how the guarantee works, and what you keep. If yours isn't here, check your territory and ask us directly.
What Techeo is
The short version: we run the full growth system for one HVAC or plumbing company per trade in each city, and we're paid on results.
What does Techeo actually do?+
Techeo is a growth partner for HVAC and plumbing companies. We run the whole path from a homeowner searching for help to a finished job: getting you recommended by AI assistants (AEO), ranking on Google and Maps (SEO), running ads, answering every call with an AI receptionist, following up on every lead and estimate, tightening your sales process, and connecting all of it to your CRM so you can see which work came from where.
What is the difference between a growth partner and a marketing agency?+
A marketing agency usually sells one or two channels and reports on clicks, impressions or leads. A growth partner is responsible for the whole system, so a missed call, a slow follow-up or a bad schedule fit counts as our problem too. We measure qualified calls, booked jobs and completed work, not only traffic, and we tie our fees to an agreed 90-day goal.
Who is Techeo a good fit for?+
Owner-led HVAC and plumbing companies that already do good work, have the capacity to take on more jobs (usually four or more trucks), and want one accountable partner instead of juggling several vendors. You should be willing to share call recordings and job data so we can measure what's working.
Who is Techeo not a good fit for?+
Brand-new shops without the crew to handle more calls, companies that want the cheapest possible ads with no follow-up, businesses outside HVAC and plumbing, and owners who don't want results measured. If we're not the right fit, we'll tell you on the first call.
Do you work with both HVAC and plumbing companies?+
Yes. We treat them as two separate trades with their own seasons, emergencies, job types and customer questions. A combined HVAC and plumbing company can work with us on both, and each trade gets its own plan and scorecard.
AEO and AI search
AEO is our flagship service because homeowners increasingly ask AI assistants who to call before they ever open Google.
What is AEO?+
AEO (answer engine optimization) is the work of making your business the one that AI assistants like ChatGPT, Google's AI answers, Gemini and Perplexity understand, trust and mention when someone asks who to call for AC repair, a water heater, a clogged drain or a furnace problem in your area.
Why is AEO listed before SEO?+
Because it's where discovery is heading, and because AI answers usually build on the same foundations: accurate business details, clear service pages, real reviews and consistent information across the web. Doing AEO well strengthens your SEO too. SEO is still essential; it simply follows AEO in our order of work.
Can you guarantee that ChatGPT will recommend my company?+
No one honestly can. AI answers change and vary by person, question and location. What we can do is fix the things AI tools rely on, check a fixed set of real homeowner questions regularly, show you where you appear and where you don't, and tie the work to calls and jobs you can verify.
How do I know if AI assistants mention my business today?+
Run our free AI search check. It asks the kind of questions local homeowners ask and shows whether your business comes up, who shows up instead, and what to fix first.
Services and how they connect
Each service matters, but the value comes from them working as one system.
Do I have to use every service?+
No. We start from where you're losing the most work. Some owners need answering and follow-up fixed before any new demand makes sense. Others have a great office but aren't showing up in AI or Maps. We recommend an order and explain why.
Do you replace my office staff or technicians?+
No. The AI receptionist answers, books and routes calls based on your rules, and hands anything urgent, unusual or sensitive to your people. Your team keeps control of pricing, scheduling, dispatch, safety calls and what's promised to customers.
Which CRMs and field software do you work with?+
We commonly work with ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, Jobber, FieldEdge and similar tools. We connect calls and leads to the jobs in your system so completed work, not just leads, can be traced back to its source. If your data has gaps, we'll show you where.
Will you build me a new website?+
Only if your current one is holding you back. Often the faster win is fixing key service and city pages, calls to action and tracking. When a rebuild makes sense, you own the site.
Do you run Google Ads and Local Services Ads?+
Yes, as part of the system. Paid demand is the flexible piece: we turn it up when your crews have room and down when the schedule is full, so you're not paying for calls you can't take.
The 90-day guarantee
We'd rather be measured on your results than on how busy we look.
How does the 90-day performance guarantee work?+
Before we start, we agree in writing on a clear 90-day goal, usually measured on recorded, qualified calls from new customers. If we miss it, our fees are waived until we hit it. The goal, the definitions and the source of truth are written down up front so there's nothing to argue about later.
What counts as a qualified call?+
A real, new potential customer asking about a service you offer, in an area you serve, confirmed by call recordings. Spam, existing customers calling about an old job, vendors and wrong numbers don't count. We agree on the exact definition together before the 90 days begin.
What isn't covered by the guarantee?+
Things outside our control that change the math: long periods when your phones aren't answered or your crews can't take new work, major changes to your service area or offerings, or missing access to the data we need to measure. We explain these up front, in plain English.
Do you promise revenue or rankings?+
No. Revenue depends on your pricing, crews and closing, and rankings move on their own. We promise the agreed goal, honest reporting that separates visibility, calls, bookings and completed work, and a clear plan when something isn't working.
Territories and exclusivity
We only help one company per trade in each market.
What does one company per city mean?+
Once you're our HVAC partner in a market, we won't take on a competing HVAC company there. The same goes for plumbing. We can't honestly help two shops fight over the same homeowners.
How is my territory defined?+
Usually by the metro area or the ZIP codes you actually serve, confirmed with you before we start. We don't lock areas you don't serve just to block others.
What if my territory is already taken?+
We'll tell you straight away. You can join the waitlist for that market, or we can look at nearby areas you serve that are still open.
How do I check whether my market is available?+
Use the territory check. Enter your metro or ZIP, truck count and trade, and you'll get an instant answer and a call back from our team.
Working together
What the first weeks look like and what you keep.
How fast do things start?+
In the first two weeks we audit your calls, listings, site and CRM, set up tracking, and fix the leaks that cost you jobs right now. Then we work in a steady 90-day rhythm with a clear scorecard.
How much of my time does this take?+
A kickoff session, access to your accounts, and a short regular check-in. We'll also need a named person on your team who owns call handling rules and scheduling decisions.
Who owns the accounts, data and website?+
You do. Your Google Business Profile, ad accounts, call recordings, website and CRM data stay in your name. If we ever part ways, you keep everything.
What reports will I see?+
A simple scorecard that keeps each stage separate: how visible you are in AI and search, how many qualified calls came in, how many were answered and booked, and how much work was completed, traced back to where it came from wherever your data allows.
Is there a long contract?+
We'll walk through terms on a call. The 90-day goal sets the first commitment, and the written agreement spells out exactly what each side is responsible for.
Is your city still open?
We only work with one company per trade in each market. Check yours in 30 seconds.
