Does AI recommend your company?
More homeowners now ask ChatGPT or Google's AI who to call instead of scrolling search results. Enter your business and city, and we'll ask an AI assistant the same questions your customers do.
What you'll see
- Three questions homeowners really ask AI, for your trade and city.
- The companies the AI named in each answer.
- Whether your business showed up, and three steps to get there.
Why AI recommendations are the new top spot
Homeowners are asking AI who to call
Instead of clicking through ten search results, more people type or say "who's the best plumber near me?" into ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity or Google's AI answers. They usually get a short list of two or three names, and they call one of them.
If AI doesn't know you, it recommends someone else
AI tools build their answers from what they can find and trust about local businesses: your listings, your reviews, your website, and what other sites say about you. Gaps or mixed-up details make you easy to skip.
How to read your result
This check asks one AI assistant three common homeowner questions for your trade and city. It's a snapshot, not a full audit. Different tools and different days can give different answers, which is why we track visibility every month for clients.
What Techeo does about it
AEO (AI search) is our lead service. We clean up your business details everywhere they appear, write answer pages for each service and city, add the behind-the-scenes labels AI reads, and earn mentions on trusted local sites. Then we report which AI tools name you each month.
What this check can and can't tell you
It's one assistant, three questions, one moment
Ask the same question tomorrow, or in a different assistant, and the names can change. Treat a zero as a signal worth looking into, not a verdict, and treat three out of three as a good sign rather than proof you own the category.
It doesn't measure calls or booked jobs
Being named in an AI answer is visibility. Whether that becomes a qualified call, a booked job and completed work depends on your phones, your schedule and your crews. We keep those numbers separate for clients precisely because rolling them together hides what actually moved.
A company named beside you isn't necessarily beating you
Assistants often name the businesses they can describe most confidently, which is not always the biggest or best-reviewed shop in town. Complete, consistent, well-sourced information is doing a lot of the work.
It won't tell you why
The check doesn't diagnose the cause. Mismatched addresses or hours across directories, thin service and city pages, missing structured information and few trusted local mentions are all common reasons, and they need a proper look at your listings and website to confirm.
What to do with your result
Fix your business facts first
Name, address, phone, hours, service area, trades and services should say the same thing on your website, Google Business Profile and the directories that matter for HVAC and plumbing. Contradictions are the cheapest problem to fix and one of the most damaging.
Answer the questions customers actually ask
Assistants quote pages that answer a question plainly. Write real answers for each service you sell and each place you serve, in your own words, without prices you can't stand behind or promises about savings and health outcomes.
Make sure the phone can take the win
If AI starts sending you calls at 9pm on a Sunday, someone has to answer. Check who picks up after hours, how emergencies are triaged, and how fast estimates get followed up. Diagnosis, pricing and safety decisions stay with your licensed team.
Measure it monthly, not once
Track how often each assistant names you, then track qualified calls, bookings and completed jobs beside it. That's the only way to see whether visibility is turning into work, and it's exactly what we report to clients every month.
Is your city still open?
We only work with one company per trade in each market. Check yours in 30 seconds.
